This weekend we have a complimentary Card on big FOX. We are finally getting the rematch with Dustin Poirier vs Eddie Alvarez after their first fight ended in a No Contest. These are just two of the most exciting fighters in the UFC and we ought to see an awesome fight here. DraftKings has some decent competitions out for this card and I was amazed to see that a 20k top prize in their own principal tournament. That is what I will be chasing and I will be making a lot of LUs to throw to that. Listed below are a few plays I enjoy for Saturday and my fade of this week:
Money Game play of the week — Stack (Dustin Poirier $8,800 AND Eddie Alvarez $7,400)
This is an effortless way to begin my cash LU this week and I anticipate this to be very popular in most money game formats. These two were on pace for a top scoring struggle in their first battle and I think we have a simple 100+ involving the both of them . I believe that the winner of the fight will score more than 100 points and then we add all the sig strikes and other points from the failure as well. But we guarantee ourselves the triumph. The only way this fight doesn’t score over a hundred DK points is someone gets kneed in the mind illegal and the fight is stopped short….
GPP play of the week — Hakeem Dawodu ($9,400)
I believe that this matchup was set up to get Dawodu a win. In addition, I believe Islam Makhachev, who’s $200 more, will probably be quite highly owned and this could be a fantastic pivot him off to distinguish your LU a little bit. I do think Dawodu will gain some good ownership too but I believe he’s a solid GPP play this week. I feel the most likely outcome in this fight is Dawodu becoming a (T)KO win. He should pay off his $9.4k salary if that is the case, especially if it’s early. He’s a very good striker and we did not get to see that in his UFC debut where he had been upset very early in the fight. This is the perfect fit for him to flaunt his striking and why there was a lot of hype behind him going to his debut. I believe we could observe a 1st round KO here which makes Hakeem Dawodu my GPP drama of the week.
Underdog play of this week — Ion Cutelaba ($7,600)
The most important reason Cutelaba is my underdog drama of this week is because there is no way he isn’t scoring at least 10x if he can get the win. He’s got big power and could get a 1st round KO score and here over 100 DK points. If he does that with his cheap salary of $7.6k he’ll certainly be in the winning lineup. This is a good fight to target both sides but points per wages wise, Cutelaba has one of those ceilings on the card. I do not see this battle going to conclusion and the winner must score highly. I think if you are making numerous lineups this weekend you should definitely have vulnerability to Cutelaba.
Fade of this week — Katlyn Chookagian ($8,700)
I’m fading a couple of fighters this week , but the individual I never even considered using was Katlyn Chookagian. It is not that I do not think she can win, since she for sure can. However, I do not see her paying off an $8.7k DK salary with a win. I believe we would require a complete from her in this struggle to get 10x that salary and I believe that’s quite unlikely to happen. The most Chookagian has ever scored in a UFC fight so far in her career is 83 DK points. That would not be sufficient here to put her at the winning lineup in her 8.7k price tag. I think if you’re making 20 or less lineups this Saturday you can safely fade Chookagian and when she gets a win it shouldn’t hurt much.
